Your organisation aim:
The Alternative Family Law website has a wealth of free information on family law including domestic violence, and in a whole section on lesbian and gay family law issues: civil partnership and civil partnership dissolution and lesbian and gay parenting. There are also whole sections on divorce, cohabitation rights and children issues including contact and residence orders as well as a section about alternative ways to resolve family conflicts other than litigation.
Andrea Woelke set up Alternative Family Law in 2005 because he felt that the way he as a family lawyer works with his clients and meets their needs differs greatly from the way lawyers work with clients in other areas of law. Family law touches very personal and intimate areas of people’s lives and most clients prefer to have a personal relationship with their lawyer.
Andrea’s particular expertise and experience in international cases and issues involving lesbian and gay clients makes Alternative Family Law well-suited for a niche, specialised family law practice.
The office is in Borough in London SE1, next to London Bridge underground and mainline stations, so easily accessible from the City and the West End as well as from the major mainline stations and airports.
The Alternative Family Law website has some good guides on DV and the law, and a dedicated LGBT/same-sex section.
